Morrison plans to get "lashed" at Brits

James Morrison has revealed that he intends to get "f**king lashed" at the Brit Awards.

The singer, who is up for the best British male gong, admitted that he wants to use the occasion to catch up on missed drinking opportunities.

"I am gonna go nuts on the Brits. I've got a five-month-old baby so I am knackered from it and I have had to have early nights to look after her even if I haven't wanted to," he told Metro.

"Tomorrow night we've got a babysitter. I'm taking my girlfriend [Gill] and we're gonna get f***ing lashed up and stay in a nice hotel and not worry about getting up in the morning and f***ing milk it."

The 'Broken Strings' star added that having a lie-in the next morning is more alluring than the actual ceremony.

"I am more excited about the fact I haven't got to get up in the morning than the Brits itself," he said.

The awards ceremony is held at London's Earls Court on February 18.
