Girls Aloud have heaped praise on their fans, saying that they are the best in the world.
The girlband acknowledged their support base after 'The Promise' won the Brit Award for best single, which was chosen by a public vote.
"We are so happy. Guys, seriously, we have the best fans in the world. Thank you all for voting, it's really appreciated," they wrote on their website.
The group went on to admit that they were terrified before performing at the ceremony.
"Last night was so huge. We were nervous getting up on that stage but performing was amazing. It was a real honour. Now we are looking forward to touring!"
The group embark on a UK-wide tour in May before supporting Coldplay at Wembley in September.
