It will be the third time that Texan blues-rock stars ZZ Top have played Donington, following performances at Monsters of Rock in 1983 and 1985. Meanwhile, Manson will be playing tracks from his forthcoming The High End Of Low album.
American metalcore outfit Killswitch Engage are also a new addition to the bill, according to eFestivals.
Bands already confirmed for the rock festival include Korn, Motley Crue, The Prodigy, Whitesnake and newly reformed Limp Bizkit. Slipknot and Def Leppard will headline.
Download takes place at Castle Donington on June 12, 13 and 14. Tickets are on sale now.
