The actress, who plays Jenny Humphrey in the CW drama, told Teen Vogue that she is hoping to hit the road with rock group The Reckless in April.
"We're putting out our album this year," she said. "I do write [all the songs] 100% myself. I'm the lead singer and I play guitar and I totally oversee it."
Describing the band's sound, she said: "[It's] probably not what people are gonna expect. Kinda dark, a little bit heavier - but we have our lighter, fun stuff too."
She added: "It's a huge passion and totally important to me... It's really exciting."
Last month, the 15-year-old assured Gossip Girl fans that she had no plans to leave the show, saying: "I definitely want to continue doing what I love."
