The group will play an open-air gig for 7,000 fans at the Millennium Square on May 24.
All previous dates for their 30th anniversary tour, which kicks off in Newcastle on April 24, have already sold out.
Keyboard player and main songwriter Jerry Dammers will not join the group for the tour after revealing that he would have preferred a large one-off gig.
The band, who split up in 1981 after enjoying hits with 'Ghost Town' and 'A Message To You Rudy', also confirmed that they will perform a UK festival date at T In The Park in July.
