'Music Week' announces awards shortlist

The awards recognise excellence in a number of areas in the music business, including retail, live, broadcasting and digital.
Radio 1 will go to head with sister stations Radio 2 and 6 Music as well as Classic FM and Planet Rock for the national radio station of the year award.
Meanwhile, The O2 arena in London will be up against the similarly branded Brixton and Leeds Academies, Shepherd's Bush Empire and the Roundhouse in Chalk Farm for the title of best venue.
The artist marketing campaign award will be given to the representatives of Paul Weller, AC/DC, Elbow, Coldplay or The Script while the catalogue marketing award will go to those promoting Michael Jackson at 50, the Stereophonics best of, Simply Red's greatest hits, Paul Weller at the BBC or That's Proper Folk.
