Noel Gallagher has thanked fans who voted Oasis as the best band and his blog as the best on the web at the recent NME Awards.
The songwriter admitted that despite winning the prize for his 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere' blog, he does not have a computer of his own.
Gallagher said: "Well, well, well - so these little text messages have now become 'award-winning', eh?
"Oh, the irony! Irie Nancy finds the whole thing rather amusing, considering that I've yet to go within 10 feet of a computer let alone own one of the blasted things."
He added that the Barack Obama was "arguably more deserving of Hero status" than himself and that the best dressed award "was not meant to be".
Gallagher recently blogged about his "painful" viewing of MTV's Europe Top 10, saying of Lady GaGa's video: "It made my teeth hurt! MY TEETH!!"
