Morrissey cancels start of world tour

Morrissey has cancelled the first four dates of his world tour, reportedly because of illness.

The 49-year-old was meant to commence his global jaunt in support of his tenth studio album Years Of Refusal in Florida tomorrow.

However, he has now cancelled all four dates in the state, according to NME.

The tour is scheduled to run until July 1, culminating with a performance in Russia.

The former Smiths frontman recently revealed that he does not plan to continue his music career for much longer, adding that it is unlikely that he will still be singing in five years' time.
