The singer insisted that reforming the group with Dave Stewart would be a "step backwards for her" and admitted that she had little contact with her former bandmate.
"Dave and I talk to each other only rarely these days, and I can't see another reunion," Contactmusic quotes her as saying.
"He lives in America and I'm over here (Britain). We're both working on our own things.
"For me it would be like a step backwards and I want to keep moving forward."
The group rose to fame in the 1983 with 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of These)' and enjoyed eight Top 10 albums over the course of their career. The pair collaborated for the final time on their 2005 greatest hits album.
Lennox released her new single 'Shining Light'> on March 2.
