Jarvis Cocker has revealed the release date for his second solo album.

The as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2006's Jarvis will be available from May 18, NME reports.

It was recorded by Nirvana and Pixies producer Steve Albini at his Chicago studio in January.

Albini recently worked with Manic Street Preachers on their upcoming ninth studio album.

The tracklisting of Cocker's album has not been confirmed, but it is thought to include songs named 'Angela', 'I Told You Twice (Leftovers)', 'Hold Still', 'Pilchard', F***ingsong', 'You're In My Eyes (Discosong)' and 'Further Complications'.

Cocker will support the album with a UK tour in June.
