Earlier this year the group revealed that they had quit EMI Records after releasing just one album on the label.
However, the band have now begun writing songs for their follow-up disc.
Iain Watt, the group's manager, told Music Week: "We are thrilled to be signing to one of the UK's most successful record companies and looking forward to achieving even more success with the band and Polydor in the coming years."
Alphabeat's debut album, This Is Alphabeat, peaked at #10 on the UK albums chart, launching the hit singles 'Fascination', '10,000 Nights' and 'Boyfriend'.
