According to The Sun, the promo for the Leicester rock band's comeback single 'Vlad The Impaler' will be directed by Fielding. Brown, who plays Bollo the ape in the cult BBC comedy, and The IT Crowd's Richard Ayoade will apparently star in the ten-minute film.
"The Kasabian boys have wanted to work with Noel for ages. Initially it was mooted that he would design the album artwork," said a source.
"But Fielding had so many ideas it was clear to all that they'd need to explore them on a bigger scale, and so the idea for the video was born.
"Noel wants to return to the idea of cramming an epic into ten minutes - think Captain Beefheart remaking 'Thriller'.
The insider added: "There'll be a series of sketches in which, we've been told, the band will appear in a way we've never seen them before. New characters are promised, as well as some amazing effects."
