Spears sister 'to release country album'

Jamie Lynn Spears has reportedly started working on a country album.

The 17-year-old, who gave birth to her daughter Maddie last June, has already penned a number of tracks in Nashville, Tennessee.

"Jamie Lynn has quietly been working on a country album since last fall," Music-News quotes a source as saying.

The star is said to be eager to make a return to the limelight, having previously appeared in Nickelodeon series Zoey 101.

"Her family are trying to get her a record deal," the source added.
