The singer, 19, is nominated for favourite male singer and favourite song for 'Kiss Kiss' at the ceremony, which takes place on March 28.
An online petition, which already has 5,284 signatures, has requested that Brown and his girlfriend Rihanna are removed from the nominees list at the ceremony. Nickelodeon has so far declined the requests.
"Like all our KCA nominees Chris Brown was nominated by kids several months ago based on his body of work as a performer, and the kids who vote will ultimately decide who wins in the category," a spokesperson told People.
The representative also confirmed that Brown was not scheduled to attend the event.
Brown was charged with assault and making criminal threats by the L.A. District Attorney's office on March 5. The felonies are related to allegations that he attacked his girlfriend Rihanna.
The couple are rumoured to have now reunited following a short separation.
