Bruce Springsteen to play Seeger tribute

Bruce Springsteen will play at a concert to celebrate the 90th birthday of folk legend Pete Seeger.

He will join Seeger himself and a host of other artists, including Joan Baez, Eddie Vedder, Emmylou Harris, Tom Morello and Billy Bragg.

The concert will take place on May 3 at Madison Square Garden and has been named The Clearwater Concert: Creating the Next Generation of Environmental Leaders.

Proceeds from the gig will be used to raise awareness and funds for Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, a non-profit body set up to defend and restore the waterway.
