Entitled Battle For The Sun, the self-funded follow-up to 2006's Meds will be released on Pias in the UK on June 8.
Singer Brian Molko said: "We've made a record about choosing life, about choosing to live, about stepping out of the darkness and into the light.
"Not necessarily turning your back on the darkness because it's there, it's essential; it's a part of who you are, but more about the choice of standing in the sunlight instead."
Battle For The Sun will be the band's first album with new drummer Steve Forrest, who replaced former member Steve Hewitt last year.
