The group have scheduled a press conference this week on board the HMS Belfast in London to reveal details of their comeback.
"The boys are back in town and we can't wait. It's going to be brilliant, we're very excited. But it will be very different to how we used to be," Tony Hadley told The Sunday People.
"Obviously there'll be all the hits, the nostalgia, but there will also be a new take on what Spandau Ballet are about."
The group, who scored hits with 'Gold' and 'True', hinted at plans for a comeback earlier in the year after patching up their differences.
In 1999, band members Hadley, Steve Norman and John Keeble lost a court case with Gary Kemp for a £1 million share of songwriting royalties.
