Dolly Parton has insisted that she has no plans to retire anytime soon.

The singer-songwriter, 63, divulged that she intends never to give up her career.

"After you reach a certain age, they think you're over. Well, I will never be over," People quotes her as telling AARP magazine.

"I'll be making records if I have to sell them out of the trunk of my car. I've done that in my past, and I'd do it again."

The Grammy Award winner is credited with writing over 3,000 songs and has 80 albums under her belt.

She has amassed 25 No. 1 singles with crossover hits on the pop charts, including Kenny Rogers duet ‘Islands In The Stream'.

Parton has also starred in films such as 9 To 5 and Steel Magnolias and has her own theme park Dollywood.
