Dubbed Chickenfoot, the group also includes Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and Van Halen bass player Michael Anthony, and will release their self-titled LP on June 8 in the UK.
The band will support the album with a show at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on June 25 and a number of festival appearances.
Satriani said: "People have this idea of what this band is about, or what Sammy Hagar is about as a lyricist and a vocalist. We manage to get each guy to up his game in a non-confrontational way.
"When I play with Chickenfoot, I want to give them more all the time, and I don't hold anything back. I think the rest of the guys feel the same way."
The full tracklisting of Chickenfoot is as follows:
- 'Avenida Revolution'
- 'Soap on a Rope'
- 'Sexy Little Thing'
- 'Oh Yeah'
- 'Runnin' Out'
- 'Get It Up'
- 'Down the Drain'
- 'My Kinda Girl'
- 'Learning to Fall'
- 'Turnin' Left'
- 'Future in the Past'
