Dhani: 'Dad banned me from Lollapalooza'

Dhani Harrison has revealed that his father George would not let him attend Lollapalooza when he was a 15-year-old.

The musician told Blender that his Beatle father may have been afraid that he would take illegal substances at the music festival, which is he booked to play this summer.

Dhani said: "My dad never let me go to Lollapalooza. He thought I was going to end up with a shaved head, tattoos on my face and pissed out of my head.

"I think he was just afraid I'd take a load of psychedelic drugs like he did.

"He'd say: 'You're only allowed to go to Lollapalooza if you're playing'. He'd still joke about that if he was around."

Dhani's band thenewno2 have released the album You Are Here, and are also booked to play Coachella in California.
