The singer, real name Jack Allsopp, admitted that he had experimented with a range of styles for the new LP.
"My records have always been pretty varied as I don't stick to a particular style of music," he told DS.
"There's some disco on there, some electro, some folk. There's also some odd, slightly out-of-time percussion, and I've really tried to keep some warmth in the album."
Discussing the songwriting process, Allsopp claimed that he gained inspiration from observing real life situations.
"For a while I would try and create situations that I could write songs about. I'd think, 'Hmm, cup of coffee, I wonder if I could write a song about that'. I'd get on my bike or walk through the city without a map and see where I ended up.
"Sometimes I'd sit on a park bench and watch people and listen to conversations. I just tried to live my life because when you're on tour you don't really live a normal life.
"A lot of my songs are based on watching people in their normal environments and seeing what they do."
Just Jack releases new single 'Embers' on Monday. All Night Cinema follows in the summer.
