The US pop singer holds off a strong challenge from indie trio Noisettes, who debut at two with 'Don't Upset The Rhythm (Go Baby Go)', the track from the Mazda 2 TV advert.
Flo Rida slips to two with 'Right Round', while Beyoncé climbs from nine to four with 'Halo'.
'Jai Ho!', a collaboration between Slumdog Millionaire composer AR Rahman and Pussycat Dolls, zooms from 20 to five.
LA four-piece Metro Station also enter the top ten this week, climbing from 22 to nine with 'Shake It'.
Outside of the top ten, La Roux hold steady at eleven with 'In For The Kill', while Lily Allen debuts at 16 with 'Not Fair'.
