The band will top the main stage at the Leeds Festival on August 28 before appearing at Reading a day later.
Bassist Nick O'Malley told NME: "It's a great festival and we are raging with excitement in the old brain box to be playing it this year.
"Reading And Leeds was the first festival us and our mates ever went to back when we were 16 - well, Leeds that is, not Reading! - and I've been every year since then. We're really looking forward to it!"
The other headliners for the two-legged festival have been revealed as Radiohead and Kings of Leon.
