The lead singer of The Fall was recovering from a broken hip and played most of the performance while sitting in his wheelchair, NME reports.
Smith finished the gig in his dressing room, from where he sang the final three songs.
The frontman altered the lyrics to Fall Heads Roll track and set closer 'Blindness' to: "I refused to go onto the stage at one point / You'll get over it in the morning."
Last year, Smith was investigated by the RSPCA after claiming to have killed two squirrels that were eating his garden fence.
