Spandau Ballet have promised to donate thousands of pounds to Great Ormond Street Hospital following the success of their comeback, a report claims.

The group are currently celebrating after hearing that a planned gig at London's O2 arena sold out in just 20 minutes. They have since added a further date in the capital to their tour.

According to The Mirror, the five-piece have now vowed to donate the cost of tickets for the first five rows at an O2 gig to the children's hospital.

An insider told the newspaper: "They are big fans of what they do and want to do all they can. It's a lovely gesture and you don't see many other bands doing it."

The '80s singers announced their reunion plans at a press conference on board the HMS Belfast in London last week.
