Carey and Foxx scheduled for Apollo Theater gala

The event is scheduled for June 8, with the pair inducting Quincy Jones and Patti Labelle into the Apollo Legends Hall of Fame during the celebration. Past inductees have included Smokey Robinson, James Brown and Ella Fitzgerald.
Steve Harvey will host the evening’s festivities, with performances from the O’Jays and Anita Baker.
Bill Cosby and his wife Camille have already been announced as the recipients of the Ruby Dee & Ossie Davis Arts and Humanitarian Award.
The anniversary event is The Apollo Theater’s largest fundraiser, with all proceeds benefiting the Apollo Theater Foundation Inc.
