Beatles remasters get release date
Published Wednesday, Apr 8 2009, 15:38 BST | By Mayer Nissim

Stereo versions of all 12 original UK studio albums, the Magical Mystery Tour LP and the Past Masters compilation will be available individually or together in a box set, while fans can also buy the 11-album The Beatles In Mono collection.
The albums will each feature expanded booklets with new liner notes and rare photographs, while the discs will also be embedded with a documentary film about the album for a limited time.
A statement from Apple Corps and EMI Music read: "Discussions regarding the digital distribution of the catalogue will continue."
They added that the albums had been re-mastered at Abbey Road Studios over a four-year period using a mixture of modern and older technology "carefully maintaining the authenticity and integrity of the original analogue recordings".
The launch of the remasters will coincide with the release of The Beatles: Rock Band video game for the Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360.
