First names revealed for Hop Farm event

Paul Weller, Super Furry Animals and Echo and the Bunnymen have been unveiled as the first acts on the bill for this year's Hop Farm festival.

The event has been organised by festival veteran Vince Power and takes place on July 4 and 5 in Kent, featuring a number of bands over two stages.

Other artists booked for the festival include 2manydjs, Ladyhawke, That Petrol Emotion, Scratch Perverts and Florence and the Machine.

Last year's inaugural Hop Farm concert was a one-day event headlined by Neil Young.
