Manchester's Johnny Roadhouse dies at 88

Roadhouse was a key figure in the Manchester music scene and played alongside stars including Elton John and Bob Hope.
A message on his website read: "Johnny passed away in his sleep early on Saturday 11 April, 2009. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered, by all his family, friends and staff."
Former Smiths drummer Mike Joyce told the Manchester Evening News: "Every single band in Manchester has gone through Johnny Roadhouse Music at some stage - it's impossible not to.
"Music shops come and go, but Johnny Roadhouse stays. It's synonymous with Manchester music."
Broadcaster and Celebrity Big Brother star Terry Christian added: "All the biggest bands have been through those doors since the days when Top Of The Pops was made in the city."
