The ex-Take That star is currently in the studio with Frankie Goes To Hollywood producer Trevor Horn recording the follow-up to his 2006 LP Rudebox.
Williams told The Sun: "It sounds big. Very. I'm buzzing."
The singer said that he almost gave up on music to present a TV show about UFOs but "couldn't be a***d".
He reportedly has over 50 potential songs for the album, and has claimed that all could be released as a single.
Williams recently said that he was ready to rejoin Take That, but his former bandmates denied that a reunion was imminent.
