The Dark Side Of The Moon musicians, who signed to the label in 1967, reportedly claim that they are owed unpaid royalties for sales of their back catalogue.
According to The Observer, the dispute arose during routine three-year negotiations with new owners Terra Firma, a private equity firm.
Terra Firma, who purchased the record company in 2007 for £4 billion and have since attempted to cut costs, is also blamed for the departure of acts including Radiohead and Paul McCartney.
EMI and Pink Floyd are yet to release a statement.
