Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has reportedly tried to serenade Amy Winehouse.

The singer is said to have called up Winehouse on Sunday and sung to her down the phone.

According to The Sun, British singer Remi Nicole gave Levine the star's number at the Coachella festival last weekend.

"Remi was with Maroon 5 and called Amy. Adam sang her their hit 'She Will Be Loved'. I heard Amy singing along," a source said.

Levine named Maroon 5's debut album Songs About Jane after his former girlfriend.
