The Girls Aloud singer has recorded solo tracks with the Soulpower team made up of Danish producers Soulshock and Karlin, The Sun reports.
A source said: "Soulpower are one of the hottest production pairings out there at the moment. They're hugely sought after and command a huge fee for their services.
"They regularly write hits for American soul stars like Toni Braxton and Christina Milian. Cheryl really enjoyed her time in the studio with them."
Cole has reportedly been working on an R'n'B-style album, while Pet Shop Boy Neil Tennant has predicted that she will have the most solo success of all the members of Girls Aloud.
