Ska band The Specials have kicked off their reunion tour three decades after their first success.

The jaunt started at Newcastle Academy and saw six of the group's seven original members take to the stage, says the BBC.

The Coventry group's 'Do The Dog' opened their 90-minute set, which included 'Dawning Of A New Era' and 'Gangsters'.

The Specials formed in 1977 and had seven consecutive UK top ten singles between 1979 and 1981 before their split.
