Mandy Moore has revealed that she was so nervous about debuting tracks from her upcoming album that she resorted to hypnotism before she took to the stage, says Reuters.

The singer, who tied the knot with rocker Ryan Adams last month, performed songs from her Amanda Leigh LP to a crowd of around 300 people at Largo in Los Angeles.

Speaking about her experience, she said: "It is the most bizarre situation you can imagine. It’s almost like therapy."

Despite recently admitting that she was embarrassed by her early pop career, the star treated fans to a remastered version of her hit single 'Candy'.

Amanda Leigh, which was co-written by Moore, is released in the US on May 26.
