The trio, who finalised the deal at London restaurant Nobu last month, will still be under contract with major label Island Records but will start working with a new team.
The group fly out to Los Angeles today to start work on their seventh album and will be recording with producers behind some of Rihanna and Beyoncé's most successful singles.
Speaking to DS recently, band member Keisha Buchanan admitted that they did not want to rush the recording process.
"We want to... take about a year to write it. But it depends - if everything goes well and we get a massive single, then obviously we'll come back straight away," she said.
The group's last album Catfights And Spotlights, which spawned singles 'Girls' and 'No Can Do', failed to match the success of their previous releases.
