The boyband, who sparked rumours of a reunion last week, made the announcement this morning on Capital FM's breakfast show.
"Myself and the boys have talked about doing something together again for a while now," Duncan James said.
"We met up last week and decided we will definitely be doing something together as a group this summer.
"We're all very excited about Capital's Summertime Ball and look forward to putting on a fantastic show for everyone."
The Summertime Ball, which is Capital FM's first open-air concert in over five years, takes place at London's Emirates Stadium on June 7 and will be broadcast live from the venue on the day.
Further artists announced include Leona Lewis, Calvin Harris, The Saturdays, Kelly Clarkson and Akon. Tickets are on sale now.
