Elbow confirm Manchester homecoming
Published Tuesday, Apr 28 2009, 18:50 BST | By Alex Fletcher

The Brit winners will play their final show of 2009 at the Manchester MEN on Friday, September 19. The gig has been described as the group's "last waltz" with their award-winning The Seldom Seen Kid LP.
"It's been a brilliant couple of years if, at times, a bit frantic and occasionally bizarre," said frontman Guy Garvey. "To finish with a home town show is the perfect end to a perfect year."
Tickets for the concert will go on sale at 9am on Friday.
Elbow's summer shows include support slots with U2 and Coldplay and performances at V Festivals and Bestival.
Garvey's group are expected to begin work on their fifth studio album after the Manchester show. The band have previously hinted that it may be released in late 2010.
