Speaking to MTV News, the 'Poker Face' star revealed that she was amazed to see Madonna and daughter Lourdes in the crowd at New York's Terminal 5 on Saturday night.
"I had been hearing all week that she was going to come, and I was like, 'Oh, okay,' and I didn't want to talk about it or tell anyone because I thought it was kind that she would want to come at all," she explained.
The singer went on to say that she was "really excited" to see Lourdes dancing throughout her performance, telling: "It really got me going. [Madonna's] a good mum, so it's nice."
She added: "I was hoping and praying she would get out [of the venue] safely. If she got spotted she would have been trampled like the queen she is."
