The Prodigy were forced to temporarily abandon their headline set at Radio 1's Big Weekend last night after technical difficulties.

The group were two songs into a 60-minute set when a power failure brought the show to a standstill.

The trio returned to the stage after technicians resolved the fault, going on to perform hits from their back catalogue including 'Firestarter', 'Breathe', 'Voodoo People' and 'Out Of Space'.

Speaking to the BBC after their performance, singer Keith Flint said: "We bust sound systems, that's what we do."

Celebrities including Natalie Appleton and Lily Allen were seen watching the closing act at the weekend music event, which was held at Lydiard Park in Swindon.
