Cannon slams 'disrespectful' Eminem song

Nick Cannon has slammed Eminem for "disrespecting" and "slandering" his wife Mariah Carey on an upcoming song, reports Access Hollywood.

'Bagpipes From Baghdad', featured on the rapper's Relapse LP, appears to be aimed at Carey, with lyrics including 'I want another crack at ya' and 'Nick Cannon better back the f**k up. I'm not playing, I want her back, you punk'.

Writing on his blog, Cannon said: "I felt sorry for him because he must really be stuck in the past. Not only has his music not evolved, but also homeboy is still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn’t let him get to second base from eight years ago.

"What type of grown a** man lies about getting with a chick? Only Slim Lamey! LOL!"

The America's Got Talent host went on to describe Carey as "one of the world’s most significantly influential artists, one of the most notable black females of our time, the incredibly cherished, globally loved and world-embraced woman of colour".

He added: "I’m putting this out there now. Marshall Mathers, you need to holler at me... Man to man, let’s meet up and deal with this like adults."

Carey has previously denied Eminem's claims that the pair enjoyed a "six, seven month" relationship in 2001, later branding him "obsessed" with her.
