Katrina urges Brits on Eurovision votes
Katrina Leskanich has urged Britons to ask their family and friends to vote for the UK at this weekend's Eurovision song contest.

The former frontwoman of 1997 Eurovision winners Katrina And The Waves said that Jade Ewen could win the competition with the Andrew Lloyd Webber-penned 'It's My Time', PA reports.

Katrina said: "We've got a great entry this year, so we've got every chance of winning.

"The reintroduction of juries for 50% of the vote should work in our favour - if every UK family called just one person in Europe and persuaded them to vote for the UK that would absolutely seal the deal."

The singer has fronted a campaign from BT Eurovictory, which recently held a poll to find the UK's dream Eurovision entry.

The top ten answers were as follows:
  • Take That
  • Girls Aloud
  • Leona Lewis
  • Amy Winehouse
  • Peter Kay
  • Will Young
  • Lily Allen
  • Iron Maiden
  • Duffy
  • Tom Jones
