The former frontwoman of 1997 Eurovision winners Katrina And The Waves said that Jade Ewen could win the competition with the Andrew Lloyd Webber-penned 'It's My Time', PA reports.
Katrina said: "We've got a great entry this year, so we've got every chance of winning.
"The reintroduction of juries for 50% of the vote should work in our favour - if every UK family called just one person in Europe and persuaded them to vote for the UK that would absolutely seal the deal."
The singer has fronted a campaign from BT Eurovictory, which recently held a poll to find the UK's dream Eurovision entry.
The top ten answers were as follows:
- Take That
- Girls Aloud
- Leona Lewis
- Amy Winehouse
- Peter Kay
- Will Young
- Lily Allen
- Iron Maiden
- Duffy
- Tom Jones
