McFly working on sci-fi concept album

The pop group, who have been promoting their DVD Radio:Active Live At Wembley, are currently writing the follow-up to 2008's RADIO: Active LP.
Bassist Dougie Poynter claimed that the boyband's new album had been inspired by Fred M. Wilcox's sci-fi classic The Forbidden Planet.
"It will absolutely kick arse," Poynter told the Daily Star. "It is going to blow your heads off.
"The whole concept of the album is really cool. It's more the story we've been working on, think McFly meets The Forbidden Planet."
