The American Idol winner told Artisan News that the pair have swapped details ahead of a possible duet.
Sparks said: "I talked to Leona Lewis at the red carpet for the American Music Awards and we had a blast. She's so sweet, I've met her before and it's cool because we know what each other are going through.
"I was like: 'I would love to do something with you, it'd be so fun.' We exchanged info and so hopefully that'll happen. I'm not sure, but hopefully it does."
She added: "Me and Jesse [McCartney] toured together for the month of September last year and we had a blast.
"We had always talked about maybe writing together or doing something together, so maybe that'll work out."
