Speaking to PA, the singer admitted that eight-year-old Frankie is showing "signs of doing his own thing" after starting a rival band with his best friend.
"He doesn't know how to play an instrument just quite yet but he's learning and he's really talented. He just did a movie and he's promoting that right now, so there's all these things that he really wants to do," he explained.
The 19-year-old added: "Maybe one day down the road but I don't know of any time soon, but maybe one day we will consider him for the band."
Frankie Jonas previously opened up about his group during an appearance on The Katie & Karleigh Show, saying: "We call it The Hollywood Shake-Up. So far, we just have me and my friend and so far, when we recorded, we just did auto-mix. We were like, okay, we need to find some people."
The Jonas Brothers, who made their big screen debut with this year's Jonas Brothers 3D, consists of Joe, Kevin, 21, and 16-year-old Nick.
