Eminem holds Escala off albums top spot

Eminem has prevented electric string quartet Escala from debuting at number one on the UK albums chart.

The rapper's Relapse album, which last week became the fastest seller of the year to date, notches up a second week in the top spot.

Escala, who signed to Simon Cowell's record label SyCo after reaching the final of Britain's Got Talent last year, have to settle for second position with their self-titled debut.

Green Day slip to three with 21st Century Breakdown, while Lily Allen holds steady at four with It's Not Me, It's You.

Meanwhile, Pink appears twice in the top ten this week, landing at seven with a box set containing her first four albums, and sticking at nine with her current LP, Funhouse.
