Rex Features
Moderne Welt have filed a lawsuit claiming that the 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun' singer owes them over $800,000 (£533,300) in damages.
According to TMZ, the tour agency insists that they were instructed by Lauper's management to start publicising the shows before being told that the deal was off "due to film and television commitments".
Since rising to fame in the early 1980s, Lauper has released ten studio albums. Her most recent release was compilation record Floor Remixes earlier this year.
