The former East 17 singer, who performed a live set in London last week, admitted that playing the group's back catalogue had been an emotional experience.
"I was a complete bag of nerves before going on stage," he told The Sun.
"Even halfway through the first song I was thinking whether or not to walk off. But then I started to relax into it and ended up loving it.
"I'm so thankful to the fans who still remember who I am! I welled up a bit at the end," he added.
The star played a ten-song set, which included 'House Of Love', 'Thunder' and Christmas number one 'Stay Another Day'.
