Guitarist Graham Coxon, who released solo LP The Spinning Top last month, claimed that the reformed four-piece are too busy to make a new record.
"We don't envisage a new [Blur] album for the moment - we're all busy with our own projects," he told the Daily Star.
"I'll have a new solo album sooner or later. I already have several songs stacked up."
Coxon added that fans could expect his own new material to trail a more futuristic sound in the future.
"It's a completely different style. They sound more 2066 than 1966 this time," he said.
Blur release their new greatest hits collection Midlife on June 15.
