Brown launches lawsuit over 'The Power'
Jocelyn Brown is planning a $16 million (£10 million) lawsuit over the allegedly unauthorised use of her vocals on Snap!'s hit 'The Power', it has emerged.

The 1990 number one single appeared to use an uncredited vocal line from Brown's 1986 track 'Love's Gonna Get You', though Snap! claim that the R&B star's voice did not feature on the song, Bang reports.

Brown said: "They started saying they had re-recorded the vocal with another singer - which was insulting, don't you think I know my own voice?

"I used to feel depressed they had stolen my voice. Now I've decided to fight."

Brown and Warner Brothers will reportedly sue the German company that licensed the track for 50% of its global earnings.
